Our stories are important. One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that God gives us stories for a reason.
A generation goes and a generation comes. We will all face challenges and temptations in this life, but there is nothing new under the sun. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever and He is with us.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR GUEST…
Joanne Samad Cornelius joined the pureHOPE team in 2001. While serving as Senior Vice President of pureHOPE, her late husband Jack Samad invited Joanne to join him in speaking to young people about their views on the pursuit of holiness. It did not take long for her heart to be broken over the sexualized culture, so she jumped in on a full time basis and now serves as our Ministry Advancement Director. As well as leading our development work, Joanne is an important part of our ministry team, speaking across the country to women and youth about the pursuit of purity and the sanctification and healing that is available to all of us in Christ.
She is a Cincinnati native, was married to her late husband, Jack, for 32 years, and has the wonderful privilege of loving three grown children and two grandchildren. God blessed her with a new relationship, and Joanne is now remarried to Carl Cornelius and her family has grown to loving nine grown children and eleven grandchildren. Joanne is known for prioritizing people and fun, she epitomizes someone who can “rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn” (Romans 12:15).
LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | Pray for this age. What might God do in the lives of those we love in this age?
UNDERSTAND | Understand the challenges facing your generation, your family, your friends. Search God’s Word. Where does His Word speak to your situation?
RESOLVE | Don’t look back to “the good old days.” Resolve to face the present with courage and confidence in the Lord and His timing and purposes for your life.
ENGAGE | Get together with friends and family of different ages and talk around the table. Share stories! Grow together.

GOD HAS THE BEST STORY
“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. A generation goes, and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever. Say not, ‘Why were the former days better than these?’ For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.” —Ecclesiastes 1:9, 1:4, 7:10, 12:13
